Andrew Shue's Sister Elisabeth Shares Rare Update on His Life Amid Marilee Fiebig Romance
View Date:2024-12-23 18:50:56
Elisabeth Shue is no stranger to adventures in being a sister.
The Adventures in Babysitting star shared rare insight on younger brother Andrew Shue, who is currently dating Marilee Fiebig following his split from Amy Robach.
"He's great," Elisabeth exclusively told E! News at the Aug. 13 premiere of The Good Half. "He's very, very happy."
The Oscar nominee—whose new movie costarring David Arquette and Nick Jonas is currently in theaters—added that she's quite proud of the bond she has with her siblings, including brother John Shue, who focuses on sports instead of acting.
"We're very close," she said. "My brother John and my brother Andrew—they're my family. They're my people." (For more from Elisabeth and the cast of The Good Half, tune into E! News tonight, Aug. 14 at 11 p.m.)
As for Andrew, the Melrose Place alum made headlines in December when it was revealed he had started dating Marilee, an attorney, after their respective exes Amy and T.J. Holmes left their cohosting roles on GMA3 amid their offscreen romance.
And while both Amy and T.J. were married at the time their relationship was discovered in 2022, the two have both maintained that they were separated from their spouses when they began their romance.
"It was one of those things where everyone in my tight circle knew I was getting divorced," Amy said on an episode of their Amy & T.J. podcast in December. "I took my ring off early August. It was very clear to anyone who knew me that I was in the middle of a divorce. T.J. is a much more private person than me and just chose to keep that to himself."
T.J.—who shares 11-year-old daughter Sabine with Marilee—echoed the statement, explaining, "We were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterous, being outed as cheating on our spouses and it wasn't the case."
Andrew and Marilee have kept quiet on their love story, although the 57-year-old—who shares adult children Nathaniel, Aidan and Wyatt with ex-wife Jennifer Hageney—did recently share that he is in a very good place.
"I'm doing very well," he said on the Aug. 4 episode of Still the Place, a Melrose Place rewatch podcast. "I am very happy, my kids are all great, and I'm working on a project."
